Colombian Giant Red Leg

The Colombian Giant Redleg is indigenous to the rainforests of Colombia. This very stocky and impressive animal is a highlight of any tarantula collection. Adults are bright orange to red in color with black femurs and carpace. These animals are known to reach eight inches. When threatened, Giant Redlegs express a very curious behavior. They extend their legs, bob up and down, and when really aggitated will spin around whipping their legs to hit any predators with the sharp spikes on their back legs.
