Cameroon Red Baboon

The Cameroon Red Baboon is a large burrowing species indigenous to the West African country of Cameroon. This spider shows distinct color variation between molts, ranging from black when freshly molted, then gradually lightening to tawny red, and finally to a dull orange when ready for its next molt. Although normally shy, when provoked this animal becomes very defensive and aggressive.
